OUT TO LUNCH

Escape the office and fill up at...

Hugo Mash

On first inspection, Hugo Mash's over-jovial and exclamation-mad [what?!!!!!] menu belies the dishes on offer. But closer examination reveals some quirky (and very reasonable) breakfast and lunch [and dinner!] ideas , including a moreish array of mashed potato choices to accompany sausages or fish/veggie alternatives (a mere £4.75 each). I teamed a creamy fish bake with a delicate-flavoured fennel mash, while my friend chose the wholesome bean and lentil Creole with a dollop of hearty bubble and squeak (pictured). To finish off our winter warmer we couldn't resist the spicy honey-baked apple (£2.75). Roll on wintertime.
